Hair categories may only be entered by licensed cosmetologists and barbers. Please note the following exceptions. 

Student: You must be enrolled in cosmetology school at the time you entered your reel. 

Nails: You must be a licensed nail technician 

Makeup: This category does not require a license.

In an effort to protect the awards competition we will not nominate your work without prior verification and acceptance of the following conditions: 

By submitting your reel to the Reel Beauty Awards Contest, you are acknowledging that you the stylists/artists 

• Work must be created between March 11, 2023 to September 11, .

• Reels should not exceed 30 seconds. Any reels exceeded the time limit will not be considered.

• Reels should show both the “Before” and “After” look. 

• Stylists must fill out an application form on the website to be entered in the contest. 

• By entering the contest, the stylist acknowledges that he/she has acquired a model release form 

• The stylist must tag @beautyawardsgala on IG.

• If you previously posted the reel, the reel must be reposted during the entry period with the appropriate hashtags. Reels posted before March 11, 2023 will not be considered. 

For your entry to be considered place the appropriate hashtag #reelbeautyaward #bestinbeautygala

in the caption of your reel; not in the comments. 

Along with placing the reel on your page and tagging us, the stylist must also fill out an application.
